Private driver in Isola village, upper Tinée

Isola village sits in the upper Tinée valley, at around 875 metres. It is not the resort: Isola 2000 is a different place, much higher up, in the same commune. So the first thing to settle before booking is simple — are you going to the village, or to the resort?

BookGet your exact price in a few seconds, based on your pickup, destination and requested date and time.

Isola village or Isola 2000: which destination?

Both belong to the same commune, and they are not two names for one place. Isola village lies in the valley, with its houses, residences and shops; Isola 2000 is an altitude resort at around 2,000 metres, reached from the village by a mountain road.

A booking that says only "Isola" is therefore ambiguous. Say "Isola village" or "Isola 2000", and add the address or the name of the property: that is what determines the route, the timing and the meeting point.

  • Isola village: in the valley, at around 875 metres.
  • Isola 2000: the resort, much higher, in the same commune.
  • Either way: the place AND the address, not just "Isola".

The village, in the valley

Isola village lives all year round: main and second homes, shops, local appointments. Its addresses are those of a valley village, with entrances sometimes opening straight onto the road that runs through it.

For a pick-up, give the exact address — a residence, a house, an establishment — and your time. If your destination is the resort, say so when you book: it is not the same journey.

From the village, Isola 2000 is reached along the resort road: a mountain journey, booked like any other, whose duration depends on conditions and traffic. Southwards, Nice and its airport are reached by driving down the Tinée valley; those journeys are booked in advance, at a time you choose.

The price is computed for the journey you give us and shown before you confirm. For a departure to the airport, leave a little room: the descent through the valley is not a motorway.

The service in Isola village, in practice

  • Say village or resort

Isola village and Isola 2000 are two distinct places in one commune.

  • Price before you confirm

The amount is computed for your journey and shown before the booking is confirmed.

  • Exact address

A residence, a house or an establishment: that is what fixes the pick-up.

  • Payment

On board by card or in cash, or online when the booking requires it.

Starting from Nice Airport?

Isola has no dedicated journey page: the airport page explains the pick-up at Nice Côte d’Azur — flight number, name-board welcome, waiting time included after landing. The climb into the upper Tinée is then booked like any other journey.

How a pickup at Nice Airport works

Pages in the same area, for planning the next leg or comparing two pick-up points.

  • Isola 2000

Isola 2000 is an altitude resort at around 2,000 metres, distinct from Isola village lower down in the valley. A transfer to the resort is therefore prepared with two things: the name of your residence or building, and a little room on the timing.

  • Auron

Auron is a station-village in the commune of Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée, at around 1,600 metres. You reach it up the Tinée valley, and you rarely stay at a single address: a residence, a chalet, a hotel or the village centre. That is what makes the exact address useful, and a booked transfer practical.

  • Nice

A driver booked in advance for Nice — your hotel, the station, the port, an appointment — and for journeys on to the rest of the Riviera. You see the price for the exact address and time you give before you confirm anything.

Isola: common questions

Are Isola and Isola 2000 the same place?
No. The village is in the valley, at around 875 metres; Isola 2000 is the resort, much higher, in the same commune. A booking that says only "Isola" therefore needs clarifying: village or resort, then the address.
What address should I give in Isola village?
The exact address of your accommodation or appointment: a residence, a house, an establishment. The village stretches along the valley road, and the meeting point follows from it.
Can I get to Isola 2000 from the village?
Yes, along the resort road: a mountain journey booked like any other. Give the village as the pick-up and Isola 2000 as the destination, with your time.
How do I book from the village to Nice?
Like any other journey: a pick-up address in the village, a destination and a time. The price is computed for that journey and shown before you confirm. Allow a little room for a departure to the airport.
